Organisation
Like any other club, ours is run by a Committee elected at each Annual General Meeting held in January. The Committee will be of at least 6 members. The Committee will in effect run the Club within the guidelines of the Club's rules.
The Committee consists of:
- Chairman
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Diving Officer
- Training Officer
- Equipment Officer
As with other Clubs, the Chairman is the figurehead of the club and controls all decisions made with regard to all aspects of the Club. All, that is, except for any matter whatsoever to do with diving policy.
All diving policy within the Club is under the sole charge of the Diving Officer. No other person or member can make diving policy decisions. This decision is made because of the fact that the Association and the Club's Diving Officer can be held legally liable in the event of an accident or prosecution.
